South Dakota Day 3

Sleeping in an tiny tent is tough.

We remember hearing a crackling of a bag. I thought is was the neighbors that were two feet away... as I was fading off. Yet the sound was strange. Sharon finally shook me out of my daze to see what was causing the rustling. It was a cat. A cat had gotten into our food bag and tore through the bread bag and was eating the bread! Stupid cat! We wrapped up the food bag and brought it into the outer area of the tent where it would be safe till morning. The sun rose and it was time to pack up.

Today would be a surge through the Badlands and then end in the plains of South Dakota. My GPS (Garmin 520) lost signal my stats are a little shaky. We were heading from Interior to Murdo. The route once it got through the Badlands would follow the interstate. I was not excited about following the interstate but it really did work out well. The road was decent and it was definitely quiet.

Off in the distance was our campground.

The music in the video is the Insyderz.
Here is the dangerous part... where the scenes were so beautiful and each brings back a memory, yet to you it all generally looks like the same picture! I'll try my best not to do that to you!

Farewell Badlands... again. We hope to come back someday and hang out for awhile.

If you look closely you can see that the road goes on for miles and miles!

We made it to Murdo and got a sweet little cabin! This little burner unit worked out pretty slick. Noodles and more noodles, never have they tasted sooooooo good!

That's a pretty big one!

Probably one of the funniest moments on the trip. Started mooing at some cows and they all came running! It was magical!

Day 3 stats
