We are ready to ride for the Dominican Republic!
This year we saw the benefits of the school this June when we held Vacation Bible School. The students listened, they asked questions, and they stood in line waiting for the next activity. These may seem trivial, however they are the results of the work of 5 teachers and a church committed to teaching these students. We are humbled to have a part. There is room for more though. How does this work? Our goal is to provide a means for you to support the school. We are committed to riding 450 miles. We have trained all spring and summer and are going to make this ride. Would you consider sponsoring a mile or two? Our suggestion is $10 a mile... but you can give whatever you would like. If 9200 people give $1, this project is done! If 920 people give $10, this project is done! How much of your money goes to the Dominican Republic. There is a small, reasonable fee when we use New Horizon Foundation to accept money on their secure online donation site and a wiring fee to get the money down to the school.
You do not pay for our meals, campsites or any bike equipment. None of the bike ride is funded by gifts.
Centro De Desarrollo Integral Misioneras Ana y Carmen, needs just over $9,000 to pay 5 teachers' salaries for the year hence the desire to raise $9200! We have been humbled in the past by gracious people who have supported us in the bike ride and supported our cause financially. THANK YOU. Let's do it again!
